Object Oriented Programming? oh man.. my brain
Being such a huge supporter of Flex and being someone that wants to do graphical programming I find it quite embarrassing that my skills in Programming (at the time that I’m writing this article) is seriously lacking. Somehow I feel that I’m not the only one struggling with Object Oriented Programming that comes from a design background.

Fact of the matter is, I think that there is a large number of flash and 3D fans that would love to take their creations further but feel intimidated by thinking like a programmer. My choice of programming languages that I’d like to persue is Actionscript and Python and knowing the type of readers that i’m writing for I’m not far off in terms of programming language interest.
I think the beauty of Object Oriented Programming is that everything you’re programming you think of as objects and those objects have functions and methods. Using an OOP language for visual applications seems to make sense.
I’ve been reading 2 books that have been explaining the concept of OOP and the fundamentals of Actionscript very nicely.
As for Python and programming for 3D Applications like Maya.. that is something I have yet to explore indepth. One thing i’m certain of is that If I have a solid understanding of 1 of the languages the rest will come easy.
